Why you should be using Clover…

10.10.3Another OSX update on day one without any issues thanks to Clover. Audio, wifi (including 5Ghz), bluetooth (including handoff, etc.) all still working perfectly on first reboot.

The only thing of note is that Nvidia “Maxwell” users will need to update your Nvidia web drivers to their 10.10.3 beta version, you can find links over at insanelymac.

I did the update as well, and everything is working (well, bluetooth isn’t but it never has so not worrying about it) except 5GHz wifi. It was working before the update. Do you have any ideas what it could be? I’ve double checked the kext patches so many times that I think I’m going crazy, but I can’t seem to find anything.

Never mind, I got it to work šŸ™‚ Thanks for your guides! They’ve been really helpful.

Hey, thanks for the comment, sorry for not responding sooner. I’m glad you got 5Ghz working, but what’s wrong with your bluetooth? If you have an Asus motherboard from Z87 or Z97 series with 802.11ac/BT 4.0 built-in, you probably have the same wifi-chip that my motherboard uses, so Bluetooth/Handoff should work.

I have the same motherboard as you do, but I have never been able to get bluetooth to work. The computer doesn’t recognize the built in bluetooth chip. I’ve tried changing some of the kext patches to match everything that’s in your setup, but still no go.

        Hey again,

It seems that a common complaint about the motherboard is that the mpcie card isn’t properly seated from the factory; I’ve had two other people comment that removing and re-seating the card inside the mpcie adapter “fixed” bluetooth for them.

You do still need to use either the BTFirmWareUploader or BroadcomPatchRam kext for full/proper functionality though.
